I want to write this post just to shed light on the notion that the money really is in the list.
I do not have a big list at all. In fact here is a screenshot of my list at the moment.
I have just over 1200 people on my list and yet the great thing is I can still manage to make a few hundred dollars in a day with my list just by sending out one email.
I think I am going to increase my list for the rest of this year and focus on building a relationship. I used to rely on a lot of forums before to make money but now looking back I think I made several stupid mistakes. The money is in the list. Why do you think successful gurus are not hanging around in forums anymore?
The answer is simple – they have HUGE lists that they market to. They simply do not have the time and resources to waste on forums. Forums are good for contacts and JVs but you should be focusing on building your list.
Offer something free to your prospects and they will love you for it. I make sure I keep my list happy and do not constantly bombard them with offers. Have a very unique relationship with your list – give them good quality free stuff and they will love you
